iBus Networks today announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with iWire Group, aimed at making the two companies technology partners.
The partnership is focused on creating a new IoT ecosystem in the area of asset tracking to accelerate digital adoption.
As a first step in this partnership, iBus Networks and iWire will collaborate in the development of the IOT business equipped with both Sigfox terrestrial connectivity and the iBus digital infrastructure solution to deliver a ubiquitous end-to-end IoT solution.
Ram Sellaratnam, CEO of iBus Networks, said: “Along with iWire to demonstrate how IOT can complement existing LPWAN networks using Sigfox protocol for IOT activities in India, iBus Networks will bring its expertise in solutions physical and digital infrastructure. iBus Networks, with its solution, will amplify IOT business opportunities in India.
This partnership aims to cover application development and IOT infrastructure in India. iBus and iWire will take the necessary actions to identify appropriate business opportunities and collectively look forward to deploying the IOT communications services infrastructure. iBus will mainly focus on the design and development of indoor and outdoor infrastructure, while iWire will be the exclusive provider of IOT solutions.
