Hi there. I’m here with your Monday edition of the Dacula Daily, filled with everything you need to know about what’s happening in town. Let’s do this.

First, today’s weather forecast:

Wet with a thunderstorm. High: 87 Low: 71.

📢 I am looking for business owners and marketers in Dacula who want to get noticed, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Dacula Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If this is you, then I urge you to learn more and secure your place now.

Here are today’s top three Dacula stories:

  1. Gwinnett County Public School has some new upgrades and facility additions this school year. Berkmar, Creekland, Grace Snell, Moore, Radloff and Twin Rivers colleges have new STEM labs. Lanier, Meadowcreek, Norcross, Peachtree Ridge and Shiloh High Schools have new theater seats. Seckinger High School also opens its doors. The 2022-2023 school year begins on August 3. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
  2. Gwinnett County Public Schools will charge for school meals again. The last time the district billed for lunches was the 2019-20 school year. The US Department of Agriculture previously offered a free breakfast and lunch waiver to schools. Students who qualify for discounted lunches will still receive free breakfast. (Gwinnett’s Daily Message)
  3. Emergency services in the Atlanta metro area are reportedly experiencing delays. The two main causes of delays are non-emergency calls and high call volumes. Emergency services remind residents of Gwinnett County to only call 911 in an emergency. (11 Alive)
